Dragonian Dream
A story by Xalithar Daskel

Special thanks to both ThunderClawShocktrix and Farm Fresh for the inspiration from their stories they have written that I am basing my story on, it would not have been possible without them, and the people that I got to talk to on chat for their support and ideas that I needed help with.

Prologue

My name is Jacob, but I prefer being called Xalithar Daskel.  I came up with the name years ago that I have become accustomed to sharing it with others.  I used to be an ordinary 5'10-11" tall Human with Autism and ADHD, now I am a 7'2" White and Cyan with Silver-curling-marks Ethereal Dragon with magical qualities, a 20 foot wingspan, and with the same disabilities that I had as a Human.  I half expected that would I become aDragon in the first place, it was another thing to become the very Dragon that I had imagined.  This story begins the day I would become a Dragon born from my imagination and my life ever since then.

I was outside on a clear midsummer afternoon for a walk that day to allow my imagination to run free while I was on my own.  My life was not as eventful like most people's were since I had often spent most of my time on my Laptop, so it was very uncommon for me to go out for a walk as I was at the time.  When I had crossed the street in my neighborhood, I went into a part of the area that still had some foliage left over from the years since the neighborhood was in development.  I was feeling quite adventurous as I walked my way through the tall grass and towards the thin cover of natural trees when I noticed a glint of light shining off of something nearby.

Not pausing to think of what it could be, I made may way towards the object as tramped my way through the grass and found a stone sitting alone on a curiously clear patch of dirt.  I knelt down and lifted the stone from the ground to have a closer inspection as I wondered how such a stone was lying around in such a place.  The stone itself was a peculiar combination of white and cyan colors that made up much of what had marked its surface, but it was without any flaw.  I was fascinated with its appearance as I held it in my hand.

I narrowed my eyes.  What is that?  I wondered, thinking that I saw something else on the surface of the stone.  The stone suddenly exploded in a cloud of dust, covering both my face and the hand holding it.  I coughed and sputtered as the cloud of dust cleared until I was able to open my eyes to see that it had stained my skin.  I could feel an intense wave of heat flood my body as I stared at my stained hand when I saw white scales growing.  I blinked, noticing something familiar about this.

White scales started spreading over my body like a tidal wave as Silver markings started etching themselves onto some of my scales that were fully formed almost like poison ivy.  Claws sprouted from my fingertips as a smooth set of cyan colored scale-plates formed on my front, then several cyan colored horns sprouted from both sides of the back of my head (That was an uncomfortable feeling) followed by the sickening sound of bones popping and snapping as the heels of my feet reshaped as some of my toes merged together as more claws sprouted from the toes that remained while my legs shifted to accommodate my new digitigrade stance.  The most dramatic changes finally begun to happen all at once when my face and neck begun elongating while I was growing a tail and a pair of leathery wings as if a high powered bomb detonated from inside my body.

I closed my eyes when I felt them burning as all of my senses were being enhanced to Draconic standards before I felt my organs, muscles, nerves, and bones were moving and changing like sand being sifted.  Once I felt my changes begin to slow down, I felt like something had clicked inside my head and it was like I was suddenly at the controls.  As soon as I opened my eyes, I was immediately immersed with more vibrant colors than I was used to.  I was blinking for a moment until I could recover from the initial shock and slowly exhaled.

"Alright, lets think it over for a second here.  I pick up a strange looking stone that explodes in a cloud of dust that stained my skin." I muttered to myself.  I looked down at my hands.  "Next thing I know, my body starts to burn and then I am suddenly covered in scales from head to toe." I said.  I slowly got to my feet and started looking at my body, not even realizing that I was essentially naked.  "Now I have claws, horns, wings, sharp teeth, and a tail." I continued, taking stock of what had happened.

I took a deep breath, folding my arms as I raised my head.  "There's no doubt about it.  I've become a Dragon." I said to myself and smirked.  I stood there for a little while, allowing everything to soak in.  "I wonder how everyone is going to take this?" I thought aloud as I raised a hand/claw to my muzzle with a curious expression on my face.

I was walking back home a little while later after retrieving whatever belongings I could bring back with me.  My mind was filled with mixed thoughts the whole way back, wondering about how everyone was going to react to my new appearance until I arrived at the door of my house.  I held the doorknob for a moment, considering what I was going to do before I pressed forward and entered.  I looked around for a moment as I stepped inside.  I didn't hear anyone.  "Guess nobody's around." I muttered to myself.

The first thing I did was to have a look at myself in the mirror.  Everything about my features seemed to resemble the kind of features that I would have imagined.  The rest of my available time that I had was spent on figuring out what my body was now capable of doing.  There was several moments that I accidentally smacked some furniture over with my tail that it became too frustrating for me to stay inside.  I wound up slamming the door on my tail by accident when I tried going out to the backyard after I had enough of knocking stuff over.  "This is going to take a while to get used to this." I grumbled to myself.

It was about an hour later until I could hear somebody pulling up on the driveway.  I was briefly excited when I remembered what this meant.  I folded my arms and sighed.  "Guess it's time to get this over with." I told myself.  I walked back inside and waited until I heard the door in the Laundry room open.  "Hello!" It was my sister.  "Hi!" I called back.  "Hi Jacob, how was your..." She paused as soon as she walked into the family room and saw me.  "I think we need to talk." I said, smiling nervously.

Next Chapter: xalithar-daskel.deviantart.com…

Finally, my first real deviation that is my own work!  This Prologue took me 3 days just to write.  Yeah, I started writing this the day I joined DeviantArt!  Take it from me, the inspiration was just begging me to bring it out!

Haaa...  anyway.  Thanks to both :iconthunderclawshocktrix: and :iconfarm-fresh: with the inspiration from their stories for me to write all of this!  The length of this "chapter" is not quite long, but I am most CERTAINLY looking to make longer chapters in the future!

All events in this story is, in a way, good therapy, even though it's pretty much a bunch of events all within the story itself.  I hope this gets to become a habit of mine.  ^.=.^
